Motorola V180 Cell Phone Review

Our newest (oldest) test phone comes from Motorola. We had a chance to review the Motoral V180 even though this phone was originally released more than 18 months ago. The V180 cell phone packs all the latest features into an ultra-compact flip design. This 3-ounce beautiful looking cell phone delivers a very impressive battery life with over two weeks of standby time. The 2-tone silver/black case includes an external screen to see who’s calling. When you flip it open you’ll find a bright color display. The phone can store 500 entries in the phone book. The cell phone is equipped with a calendar, web browser, AOL® Instant Messenger ™ and much more.

The good: Compact form factor; good call quality; speakerphone; USB capability; instant messaging; world phone; long battery life.

The bad: Flimsy plastic construction; slippery keypad and cramped controls; small internal display.

The bottom line: Though we weren’t impressed by its design, the Motorola V180 is a quality, basic cell phone.
