Motorola's P790 Mobile Cell Phone Charger

Motorola’s latest cell-phone accessory will end the search for an electrical outlet to recharge your phone—at least for a while. Motorola announced the world's first portable charger.

The P790 portable charger has a 1,700mAh battery that holds up to 2 full battery charges for a Motorola mobile phone. Shaped like a miniature version of the company’s Pebl handset, the charger comes in a range of colors, including pink and green. We are sure that this device will be seen often on trade shows or day-long events where outlets to recharge a phone are rare.

Designed to extend battery life for additional talk time or multimedia features, the P790 plugs into the Mini USB port on a Motorola handset or Bluetooth headset. The charger, which measures 74 millimeters long and weighs 79 grams, will be available during the third quarter. Pricing was not disclosed.

It will be interesting to see if the charger for the charger is the same as for your cell phone itself.
